The Thomas Jefferson Memorial is a national monument located in Washington D.C., dedicated to the third President of the United States, Thomas Jefferson. The memorial was designed by John Russell Pope and completed in 1943, and it is situated on the south bank of the Tidal Basin, surrounded by cherry blossom trees.

The memorial features a 19-foot-tall bronze statue of Thomas Jefferson, standing atop a pedestal in the center of a circular colonnade with 26 Ionic columns.
