								A somewhat simplified mathematical model of a Sharp VAWT to look at the relationship between the mass of the wing and counterweight and VAWT performance. Adding mass increases torque and therefore power. However, too much mass will lead to stalling. One thing that should be investigated is the effect on natural frequency of the pivot to ensure it is higher than the rotational speed of the turbine.
