On Tuesday, authorities revealed that two of the four American citizens who were violently abducted in Mexico during a terrifying cartel shootout caught on camera on Friday, have been discovered deceased while the remaining two were found alive.

As per Tamaulipas Governor Américo Villarreal, one of the surviving Americans sustained injuries, while the other remained unscathed, the New York Post reports. One person has been arrested.

On May 4, the group of four individuals from South Carolina, namely Latavia “Tay” McGee, Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown, and Eric James Williams, were taken at gunpoint during daytime shortly after they crossed the border from Texas into the crime-infested city of Matamoros in the northeastern state of Tamaulipas.
