At Least 25 Houses Damaged And 75 People Displaced

The video shows the aftermath of a severe storm that struck Lawrence Square Village, Mercer County, New Jersey, United States, at around 4pm on 21st February 2023.

There was severe damage around the village complex, with trees and powerlines brought down also.

In this video Newsflash obtained from the Lawrence Township NJ Police Department, Lawrence villagers displaced by the incident were directed to the clubhouse at 1 Simonelli Court, Lawrence, for resources or assistance.

Chris Longo, the Lawrence Police Chief, indicated that about 75 to 100 displaced residents were displaced.

He then advised the village citizens to stay safe and not to move around, as powerlines and other harmful elements in the area.

First responders were on site after the incident, and cleanups were also ongoing at the same time.

The storm's destruction led to the road closure of Route 1 and Quaker Bridge Roads.

The National Weather Service had previously warned of a possible Tornado strike at 4.15pm in Mercer County.

The Mercer City officials indicated the tornado struck village road areas and Quakerbridge road around 4pm on the predicted day.
