Ukraine War: Zelenskyy vows to hold Bakhmut as Russians close in

As China's foreign minister Qin Gang said its country must advance its relations with Russia as the world becomes more turbulent, the focus of the conflict has turned to Bakhmut.

Bakhmut has become a symbol for both warring parties. For Russia
a signal to its flagging army that after months of setbacks, it can actually mount an offensive and for the Ukrainians a golden example of resistance and spirit in the face of adversity.
