Bryan Zack - Delta Company 165th Military Intelligence Battalion

Bryan Zack was a counterintelligence warrant officer in D Co 165th MI Bn. Pete A Turner and Bryan Zack were in Delta Co at the same time. A little known fact, when Pete first arrived in Germany, it was Bryan Zack that greeted him and welcomed him to the unit. As a new recruit, Pete was going through in processing on the same Kaserne as Bryan's field office. They both expected Pete to join Bryan at his field office...but the unit had other plans.

In 1996 Delta Company deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina in support of the Dayton Peace Accords. A few things made this deployment special. Delta company was a company of counterintelligence agents and interrogators. The collection of interrogation coupled with field agents wasn't normal. The timing of the deployment created a unit unique that straddled the line between tactical and strategic but also, interrogation and espionage. 1996 was the dawn of the digital age for intelligence collection. It was also the very beginnings of a new age of warfare. During this deployment, a group of special agents and interrogators were the tip of the spear. This never happens.

Pete has been gathering different members of the 165th to tell the history of Delta Company. It turns out there's a lot to Bryan's story that has never been told. This is Bryan first visit to the Break It Down Show with Pete A Turner.
