Clean-up launched after Philippines oil spill

Volunteers and coastguard personnel on Tuesday (March 7) tried to clean up a devastating oil spill that has washed up on the shores of Mindoro Island staining most of its beaches. “The oil is really thick and the smell is strong,” said 34-year-old Maribel Famadico as she worked alongside other clean-up volunteers.
