What's Inside This UGLY Wood??

This wood came from a torn down house, and had been sitting outside for years. I had no idea what to expect when I tried to woodturn it, but the grain turned out to be amazing, and this ugly wood turned into a pretty cool bowl. The grain pattern was so weird that I had trouble figuring out if I was making an end grain bowl or not, so you can see me try some different angles to figure out which cut best.
