The very first YouTube video, the 18-second Me at the Zoo ("I'm at the Zoo"), appeared on April 23, 2005. it was filmed at the San Diego Zoo by co-founder Jawed Karim.
On it, Karim stood in front of the elephants at the San Diego Zoo and, stammering, said literally the following: “Well, here we are standing in front of the elephants. The cool thing is that they have very, very, very long trunks. This is cool. And I have nothing more to say." Not only is this video in 320x240 pixels reminiscent of the times when the speed of Internet access was many times slower, but it is also largely prophetic. After YouTube became available to everyone in November 2005, it became popular thanks to such personal meaningless videos.
