Carpal tunnel syndrome can cause the median nerve to be under a lot of compression which can actually be released by making a slight incision in the ligament that runs alongside the palmar aspect of the hand.
By releasing the pressure on the nerve it drastically improves symptoms and the carpal tunnel syndrome is fixed.
