kitchen clerk job
Kitchen assistants are professionals who work in the kitchens of restaurants, hotels, cafes and other food service establishments. They work under the supervision of chefs and are often considered the basic kitchen staff.
Their main role is to assist the chefs in the preparation and cooking of food. They may be responsible for tasks such as cutting vegetables, preparing meats, setting dishes, managing food stocks and maintaining the kitchen.
Kitchen clerks must be able to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. They must also be able to follow recipes and directions from chefs with precision.
This position can serve as a stepping stone for budding chefs, as it provides a great opportunity to gain experience and become familiar with cooking techniques, ingredients, and equipment used in the kitchen.
