Willy Wonka Too Extreme for Schools?

School administrators will replace every copy of the books they don't like in the school libraries, and city libraries will follow suit. We have begun the era of mass censorship, and the Penguin House controversy is just the beginning. The Left knows that it cannot compete in the realm of ideas, so its only hope is to shut the mouths of everyone else.

It would be better for the Left to try and ban these books outright, but they are too clever and malicious for that! Instead they will flood and confuse the market with all kinds of variants of classic books, making finding an original a more and more difficult challenge.

Some kinds of censorship are actually good and beneficial, but censorship of ideas simply indicates the fragility of the Left's position.
