Woodturning - Hollow Form

In this video I turn a wet / green American black walnut log into and contemporary looking hollow form finish with a yew finial to give better contrast. The whole process took about 8 months due to rough turned bowl / vase / hollow form had to be dried to ensure no further movement of wood in the future. Once it stopped dropping any more weight (water) it was ready to be finished turning on my lathe.

In the future I would like to share my creations with the audience here ranging from both simple woodturning ideas ideal for beginners but also more complex and artistic works for those like a bit of challenge. 😊
