Making a Wood and Resin Egg

In this week video I cast red and brown mallee burl in epoxy resin to make a resin dragon egg. I left it to cure in the pressure pot for few hours then returned to add the golden swirls into the resin and then shaped it using my woodturning lathe, I polished it up with on my three-stage buffing wheel for crystal clear look. Making resin hybrid dragon eggs are great and fairly simple wood turning projects and there is no limitations what can be done. Different objects can be casted into to the resin or to dye the resin itself for special looks.
