In this video, Dr. Marchegiani and Dr. Friedlander discuss athletes' diets in the past and how they affected their performance and injuries. They mentioned that athletes used to rely on a diet of Twinkies, peanut butter, and Reese's cups, which made them more prone to inflammation and injuries. They also mentioned that the athletes' diet in the 80s mainly pasta, bread, and carbs, which inflamed their fatty acid profiles.
Dr. Friedlander and his team's nutrition approach helped the athletes stay healthy, recover faster from injuries, and perform at their best. Supplements like Co-Q10, Pycnogenol, and Knox gelatin powder also helped rebuild and regenerate athletes' bodies.
