This video provides interesting facts about the Tamaskan Dog, a breed that has a wolf-like appearance but is not actually a wolf hybrid.
The breed was created through crossbreeding four registered and recognized dog breeds, including the Alaskan Malamute, Siberian Husky, German Shepherd, and Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. Despite their wild appearance, Tamaskan dogs are obedient, friendly, and gentle, making them excellent family pets.
They have a thick double coat that insulates them from cold weather and comes in three different colors: red grey, black grey, and wolf grey.
Tamaskan dogs are heavy shedders but are highly intelligent and can compete in obedience trials.
The breed is relatively new and is actively working towards international recognition as a pureblooded breed through the Tamaskan Club.
Additionally, the Tamaskan is known by another name, the Northern Inuit Dog, and was chosen to play the mythical dire wolves in the hit TV show "Game of Thrones."
