Woodturning - Burl Firewood Log to Live Edge Vase

In this woodturning video, I will be salvaging a firewood destined burly log into a beautiful live edge vase. My plan was to retain as much as natural edge burl on this project with the nice wood grain on the other side to give a special look. I mounted this piece slightly off cantered onto my woodturning lathe to achieve the desired outcome. Then it was sanded up to 240 grit and applied some Rubio Monocoat to pop the grain and also to provide extra protection.
