Woodturning - Massive Chip Outs to Beautiful Vase

In this woodturning video I will transform an Australian red mallee burl into a hybrid blue vase. I have some small burl pieces what is ideal for such wood turning projects and it also great for beginner wood turners as very good wood to work with. When rough shaping the blank I use traditional tools with lower speed so cause loads of chip outs but then I swap over to a negative rake carbide tool and increase the lathe speed and smooths out the surface in no time. Wet sanded all the way to 3000 grit then a good polish made it look like glass.
