SERMON NOTES

IGNITION: REVELATION- KEYNOTE SPEAKER (JESUS)
(MATTHEW 24:21-31)

'For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened. “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. “Therefore if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the desert!’ do not go out; or ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms!’ do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.'

I. I SEE TROUBLE ON THE HORIZON
• GOOD MORNING!! I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU ARE HERE TODAY!
• HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF A “KEYNOTE SPEAKER?”
• DO YOU KNOW WHY THEY ARE IMPORTANT?
• MANY TIME THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE PEOPLE THAT HAVE DONE SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT OR IMPORTANT TO SOMEONE. AND IT IS BELIEVED THAT FROM THEIR MESSAGE THAT INSPIRATION WILL COME TO THOSE THAT ARE IN ATTENDANCE.
• WHAT IF I TOLD YOU THAT JESUS IS A “KEYNOTE SPEAKER?” WOULD YOU BELIEVE THAT THIS IS POSSIBLE?
• WELL HE IS!!! SEE JESUS SHARED A MESSAGE THAT WAS SO IMPORTANT THAT IT REVOLUTIONIZED THE WAY THAT PEOPLE VIEWED NOT ONLY THEIR FAITH IN GOD, BUT WHAT THEY ARE CALLED TO DO AND BE FOR HIM! (EXPOUND)
• BUT THERE WAS ALSO SOMETHING ELSE HE CAME TO SPEAK ON…WHAT IS TO COME!!!
• THE APOSTLE PAUL IS ONE WHOSE LIFE WAS RADICALLY CHANGED BY CHRIST.
• LISTEN TO THE WARNING THAT HE GIVES TO TIMOTHY IN (II TIMOTHY 3:1-5)

II. YOU OLD BROKEDOWN LOOK-A-LIKE! (I JN 2:18)
• AS WE CONTINUE TO EXAMINE OUR TEXT, WE SEE THAT ONE OF THE THINGS THAT JESUS MENTIONS IS THAT THERE ARE GOING TO BE MANY FALSE CHRISTS!
• WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT? (EXPOUND ON (REVELATION 6)
• HOW DOES THIS AFFECT AND CONCERN THE CHURCH?
• HOW DOES KNOWLEDGE OF THE SCRIPTURE HELP IN THIS?

III. JESUS IS COMING BACK (I TH. 4:16-18)
• HERE IS A FACT! THIS IS NOT FICTION!!
• AS WE HEAR JESUS TELL US THE FACT THAT HE IS COMING BACK FOR US, WE CAN STAND ON THAT PROMISE!
• LISTEN TO WHAT PAUL SAYS TO THE CHURCH IN THESSALONIA.
• WE SHOULD REJOICE IN THE PROMISE THAT HAS BEEN NOT ONLY GIVEN TO US, BUT IS COMING SOON!!!
• REVELATION IS CALLING US TO UNDERSTAND THAT EVERYTHING THAT HAS A BEGINNING, HAS AN ENDING.

IV. CHOOSE JESUS TODAY!
• SO HAVE YOU CHOSEN WHICH DESTINATION THAT YOU ARE GOING?
• DO YOU WANT TO BE ONE OF THE MANY THAT WILL BE TAKEN WHEN THE RAPTURE HAPPENS?
• OR ARE YOU GOOD WITH BEING LOST IN YOUR SINS?
• IF YOU ARE READY TO CHOOSE LIFE!
• CHOOSE JESUS TODAY!!!
