Came a long ways but have a long way to go. The engine was special built by a diesel shop in Kansas City Missouri. It was originally in our 71 Diamond Reo, but after the original Cabover engine sucked a chunk of the turbo into the valves it gave me inspiration and the insensitive to put the big mechanical beast in the Cabover and snag up a 12-71 marine super beast for the Diamond. The gearing in the old 411 rearends wasn’t meant for this kind of horse power and torque. Especially hauling heavy oversized loads. I completely destroyed the front rearend with the new engine and transmission. When I change the rear rearend I will video the process and show the differences between the new and the old. Wish we could of videoed the engine and transmission swap but we was in a time crunch. So allot more to come.
