    Hi Alistair, God did not save the "JEWS" out of Egypt. There is no mention of JEWS in the Bible until "2 Kings 16:6", over 200 years after King Jeroboam, son of Solomon, caused Israel to split into the Kingdom of Israel and the Kingdom of Judah. Jude 1:5 (KJV) ... how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. Gill says: how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt; that is, the people of Israel, who were the chosen people of God, a special people, above all others, and had peculiar privileges; these the Lord brought out of the land of Egypt, with an high hand, and a mighty arm, and saved them out of their bondage, and delivered out of their oppressions and afflictions:
