The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR is back, a more ferocious 900 HP engine

Shelby American celebrates its 60th anniversary with the launch of the 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR sports car.

This king of the road car comes as a limited model with a 900 HP supercharged V8 engine. Sales of the new Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR will start in the first quarter of 2022, KR on the GT500KR stands for King of the Road.

The American sports car is based on the Mustang GT500 which is supported by a V8 engine or known as the Cobra Jet.

It's just that the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500KR has added a 3.8-liter Whipple supercharger which increases the output of the 5.2-liter V8 engine it uses.
