Gold Nuggets versus Biting March Flies

Metal detecting for gold nuggets in between the spiky spinifex can reveal some nice surprises like today. The amount of gold I found in this spot within short time is a good reason to stay and look try and find more targets. Biting march flies don’t seem to agree.
