Josh Frost has big dreams and goals for his rodeo career.

Jeff visits with 2-time NFR qualifier, professional bull rider Josh Frost. Josh finished the 2021 season with $363,352.59 in earnings as the #2 bull rider in the world. He's started the 2022 season strong already with over $83,000 in earnings before the end of March and again is currently ranked as the #2 bull rider in the world. They talk about the rodeo life, confidence, mindset, and much more.

Updated Bio (as of 12/20/22):
Since Jeff's interview with Josh, he has had a very successful 2022 rodeo season and National Finals Rodeo, which was his 3rd time qualifying for the NFR.

Josh finished the year in the #3 spot for the All-Around title with $307,700.96 in qualified earnings. He had a great NFR and finished #2 in the World in Bull Riding with $409,629.74 in earnings behind Stetson Wright.

Fun Facts about Josh at the beginning of the 2022 NFR: In 2019, he qualified for his first WNFR and didn’t ride a bull. He qualified again in 2021 and did better than any other bull rider in the field riding seven and earning the average championship. Josh left the 2021 WNFR in Las Vegas with $233,160 in earnings from his 10 rides and finished the year as the reserve champion. His redemption tour continued in 2022 starting with a win in January at Denver and he now is entering his third WNFR in second place. He also won the Linderman Award for the third consecutive time, a goal that he always writes on his list at the beginning of the year. It’s very important as the winner has to win over $1,000 in three events that are at opposite ends of the arena. Josh competed in tie-down roping and steer wrestling to accomplish his goal. He believes that roping helps keep him in shape for bull riding, but more importantly, tests the skills of the guy that wants to be known as a cowboy. He graduated from Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he met his wife, Erika, who has opened gates and even pulled his bull rope in the practice pen. She is a breakaway roper and a highlight of this year was competing at the same rodeo.
