The dark events of Knight Terrors is coming to the DC Universe, and the Justice League’s only hope may lie with the unlikely hero Deadman. The Justice League is about to come face-to-face with living nightmares, and the only hope they have is one of their most unexpected allies. DC has revealed its new Knight Terrors event and hints how Deadman is the heroes' secret weapon. DC has finally provided details on its next big event, Knight Terrors, the newest saga for the Dawn of DC initiative. Throughout July and August, DC will put out two-issue miniseries that show its heroes and villains encountering threats in a Nightmare Realm, something that will have huge consequences in the real world. Kicking off with a mystery in the Hall of Justice that involves one of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman's oldest enemies, the team is taken all over the map. Venturing beyond the land of the dead and into a world of literal nightmares, the team finds themselves facing dark and powerful threats. However, the heroes have a secret ace in the hole, as they are still able to get help from the ethereal, undead hero, Deadman. The Ghostly Deadman is the Justice League's Best Ally Fans of Justice League Dark may recall that Deadman was once an aerialist that performed in circuses and was renowned for his death-defying stunts. However, he was assassinated in one performance and became Deadman, a ghost hero trapped on the mortal plane of existence. Deadman is one of the loneliest of heroes in that he can’t directly interact with the majority of other DC characters. However, his unique situation makes him perfect for information gathering, and he can also possess people to serve as a means of communication. Boston Brand is probably not the most in-demand hero, but he's helped the Justice League plenty in the past. Deadman might not seem to be the kind of hero who can help in most situations, but the truth is, he’s at his best when facing supernatural threats. During the Black Lanterns' invasion, Deadman was one of the first DC heroes to become aware of the calamity. Not to mention, his possession powers gave him insights that gave Earth’s forces a chance to fight back when the Green Lantern Corps was spread too thin. Deadman is exactly the sort of hero the League will need on their side if they're about to square off against supernatural evil. Deadman is at His Best Facing Off Against Paranormal Evil While details are mum on exactly what sort of threat will imperil the Trinity, it’s highly likely that it will involve the undead. And in a situation that involves zombies, the Justice League Dark’s Deadman is exactly the sort of hero anyone would want fighting with them. As one of the few people linking the land of the living to the realm of the dead, Deadman is someone who could help Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman, no matter which side of the mortal coil they wind up on. Fans can see how the Justice League’s secret weapon will work out for them when Knight Terrors launches this summer. Next: The DC Universe is A Living Nightmare in New KNIGHT TERRORS Takeover
