Casting an Aluminum Rose using Styrofoam

Today I'll be casting an aluminum Rose using a styrofoam pattern. I carved out the rose using my cnc router. I carved 2 halves and glued them together. I then coated the styrofoam with household wall plaster. Once it was dry, I buried it in fine dry sand. This is the second casting I did of the rose. The first casting was done in copper. That video shows more detail of making the rose out of styrofoam. If you are interested in seeing that video the link will be down below. Casting aluminum is fun. You can make practically anything you want to, and aluminum is always easy to find.
