Better Raised Garden Beds

5

Adding carbon to a garden increases the amount of water that can be absorbed and stored passively. Using logs creates a thicker wall to a raised bed that also promotes the mycological biodiversity when various species of wood are used. Over time, the logs create their own habitat for microorganisms that contribute to the health of the ecosystem, breaking down eventually to become the compost for plants. Plus . . . they're beautiful!
