Breaking News Rangers star Scott Arfield expected to agree new contract.

The 34-year-old is one of eight senior Gers players whose contracts are set to expire at the end of the season, but the midfielder has held talks with the club about extending his stay at Ibrox.

Manager Michael Beale values Arfield’s experience and leadership in midfield and is keen to keep hold of the Canada international beyond the summer window.
It is increasingly likely he will sign an extension, sources say, but there is no agreement yet in place.

Arfield has had to accept a more limited role under both Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Beale this season, with the midfielder playing a full 90-minute match just twice in the Premiership this season.
