KJV COMPARISON to other TRANSLATIONS - Luke 4:4

"And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God." - Luke 4:4
In this verse, Jesus is responding to the devil's temptation to turn stones into bread. He quotes from Deuteronomy 8:3 to emphasize the importance of relying not just on physical sustenance like bread, but also on God's word for spiritual sustenance. We also need to nourish our souls with God's word to truly live a fulfilling life through God's Word.

How does any other non-King James Translation let's us know this is as a valuable and spirit sustaining message by removing " "but by every word of God."? The ESV, NIT, NLT and a host of other modern translations don't seem to think it's vital.
