20230302 Musical Taste and Nature vs Nurture

I got to thinking about nature vs nurture when the classical music station I generally listen to was torturing me with selections from Bernstein. He was a crappy conductor and far worse composer, so I changed over to Liquid Metal.

Yes, I listen to classical music, and some really harsh heavy metal.

Much of who and what we are are determined at conception, nature.

But, our musical tastes are generally informed by our peer group, i.e. nurture, but mine really are not.

And if I can choose far different musical tastes from my peers, and family, what else can I choose?
