We decided to take our 99 Jeep Cherokee XJ for a Cross Country Overland Adventure. Our fully loaded Jeep Cherokee XJ with tent, folding camping cots, grill, blankets, sleeping bags, and extra gasoline, weighed in at 5200 lbs!

We spent 31 days driving in 18 states, and put on over 8500 miles! Come along for the ride; we think you will enjoy it!

Today’s adventure, we take you on a journey through the stunning landscape of Moab, Utah. Join us as we travel in our trusty Jeep Cherokee XJ down Shafer Trail, through Potash Canyon, and witness the dramatic views of the Colorado River.

We are a retired couple who love to explore the great outdoors. On this trip, we will take you on a ride through the steep and winding Shafer Trail, which offers breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. From there, we will descend into Potash Canyon and continue our adventure to the beautiful town of Moab.

Shafer Trail is one of the most iconic trails in Moab, Utah, known for its steep and winding roads. The trail is a thrilling ride for adventure seekers and offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

As we descend through Potash Canyon, we will witness the dramatic views of the Colorado River and its surrounding canyons. The vibrant colors of the landscape are a feast for the eyes and will leave you in awe.
