Preparing Painting Panels

I prepare most of my painting panels to ensure the quality of materials. Quality of the surface is very important not only to be pleasurable to paint on but also it is the foundation of the painting. Similar to the foundation of a house, if it is of poor quality the whole thing will fall off.
Materials used in this video.
