German Architecture MegaMix (with maps comparing Germany in 1588 to that of today)

This video is based on a fantastic collection of images of German towns and cities as they existed before the horrific and often totally indiscriminate Allied bombing raids of the latter part of WW2. Almost all of the amazing buildings depicted in these images are now gone. But more important than any of these buildings is the Spirit of Greatness that they manifested, and without a restoration and revival of that Spirit, all physical restorations constitute nothing more than empty facades, and will ultimately come to nothing.

The first map is a rare map of Germany created in 1588, and plainly shows that cities like Danzig and Konigsberg had been German places of habitation for centuries by the time the infamous Versailles Treaty cut them off from the Fatherland, and it also shows that much of the northern part of what is now "Poland" was German or Prussian even in the 1500s.

The final map shows just how riddled Germany is with Allied military bases, even now, almost 80 years after WW2 officially ended. This massive foreign military presence also reveals just how ridiculous is the claim that a few aged men wanting to restore a German monarchy constituted a treat to the present "German" regime.
