Canada: Federal and P.E.I. ministers announce health infrastructure funding – March 2, 2023

Chrystia Freeland, the deputy prime minister and minister of finance, Dominic LeBlanc, the minister of intergovernmental affairs, and Dennis King, the premier of Prince Edward Island, announce $48.8 million in joint funding for a new building for the University of Prince Edward Island Faculty of Medicine. Also taking part in the news conference in Charlottetown are Ernie Hudson (P.E.I. minister of health and wellness) and Cory Deagle (P.E.I. minister of transportation and infrastructure), Heath MacDonald (Liberal MP, Malpeque), Sean Casey (Liberal MP, Charlottetown), Robert Morrissey (Liberal MP, Egmont) and Greg Keefe (interim president and vice-chancellor, University of Prince Edward Island).
