Why is There Evil in the World ...? - Knowing God Today

This is the great story found in the book of Genesis, that explains why the world is the way it is today.

It is in the garden of Eden that death was introduced to humanity and God became distant from humans. Pain, death, frustrations and death all have their origin here.

Adam and Eve were created with autonomy, they were given the ability to make decisions, exercise freedom and choose. Unfortunately, at one point, they made the wrong choice which resulted in terrible consequences for all of us.

Our human hearts have a faint memory of that place which seems to be passed from generation to generation. We all wonder about God at one point or another and deep down we have longings for a place of bliss, where peace would abound. We even have the concept of eternity in our hearts.

It all comes from there, we were happy once but alas this place is no more.

This all changed when God took human form in the person of Jesus-Christ and came to rescue us from our sorry state of affairs. Now through the Gospel we can start making our way back.
