What is the autism meaning? I am explaining all about that right now!

So you want to learn about autism and what autism is? So maybe we should start at the beginning

Autism is a neurological developmental condition that impacts the lives of people who are impacted back the condition.

It currently impacts the lives of 1 in 100 ion the UK and 1 in 60 in the USA who have an actual diagnosis, but I presume there are many more undiagnosed.

Autism comes from a Greek word for self ‘autos’ as autistic people are seen to be in themselves a lot more than neurotypical people (not autistic individuals)

The condition wasn’t popularly studied until the 1940s and wasn’t readily diagnosable world wide until the late 80s early 90s

The two main players in the autism world original research were Leon Kanner and Hans Asperger.

These gave names to the condition like, Early Infantile Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
