Thanks to a convincing four-goal victory over Everton at a raucous Emirates Stadium, we increased our lead over the competition to five points.

Late in the first half, Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli both scored their 10th Premier League goals of the year to give us the lead. Martin Odegaard then all but sealed the victory by tucking in a Leandro Trossard cutback.

Ten minutes from time, Martinelli scored his fourth goal in his last three games.

The first half was a slow-burner, with neither team initially creating many small opportunities. Four minutes in, Jorginho attempted a shot from a short corner that went over the top of the crossbar, and Aaron Ramsdale only had to deal with a Neal Maupay effort from range, which he did so without much difficulty.

The visitors attempted to frustrate us in a manner similar to the match at Goodison 25 days prior by playing a low block, soaking up any pressure, and looking to spring counterattacks whenever possible. Gabriel had to be on the lookout to make a superb sliding tackle to stop Maupay from getting another chance to shoot after a breakaway, though these were rare.

In the first 45 minutes, it appeared that we would not have much to show for our efforts, but five minutes before halftime, some Saka magic helped us move ahead. Oleksandr Zinchenko moved about the field, grabbed the ball, and then sent Saka a pass that was inch-perfect.

He first controlled the ball before using a great touch to spin past Vitalii Mykolenko to create a shooting opportunity. Despite the tight angle, he smashed a shot into the top corner past his international teammate Jordan Pickford to reach double digits for the Premier League season.

Then, by doubling our lead in stoppage time, we were able to seize full control of the game. Martin Odegaard was taken out of the game by Idrissa Gueye in midfield, but he was penalized for dithering with the ball, allowing Saka to nip in and set Martinelli up for a calm finish past Pickford.

The goal was initially disallowed due to offside by the linesman's flag, but VAR stepped in and demonstrated that the Brazilian was just behind his teammate to score for the third straight game and give us a sizable lead at the half.

After a strong run from the Toffees winger, Dyche shuffled his pack as his team now needed a different tactic to get back into the game. Ramsdale had to be alert to dive low and block a Dwight McNeil shot, but after that brief scare, we secured the crucial victories on the 71st minute.

Leandro Trossard had plenty of room to move as he was sent down the left, and he had time to enter the box and cut the ball back for Odegaard to take advantage of the straightforward opportunity.

We appeared to be in the mood to score more goals because of the team's growing confidence. Pickford did well to stop an attempt from Eddie Nketiah after he was set up by a lovely Thomas Partey pass, but we added a fourth goal 10 minutes before the end.

Zinchenko assisted once when he pushed the ball into Nketiah's path. Nketiah then laid the ball on a plate for Martinelli to prod past Pickford at the near post and add gloss to the victory, making it the first ever memorable 100th league win in English history against Everton.
