Shiloh Cemetery Rosewood Fl, & Convict Springs Mayo Fl. This is Cal O'Ween!

Today we're heading North to Rosewood Fl, this area of Florida is where the Rosewood Massacre took place in 1923. Many of the victims of the massacre were buried here and at the time with no regard. White aggressors simply dug a hole and buried the victims in unmarked graves. Many years later using ground penetrating radar to locate the bodies, the graves were modestly marked simply with the word "Grave". John Wright is also buried here, a white man who assisted survivors with fleeing to Gainesville by train. He was a Hero in Rosewood for the rest of his life. We will also be visiting Convict Springs at the Suwannee River Rendezvous. This area used to be a prison work camp convict chain gangs.
