Cristian Terheș on the draft report of the European Parliament's COVID Commission: we are witnessing the cover-up of the biggest case of corruption in the history of the European Union!
The COVID Commission, set up to document "lessons learned from the pandemic and provide recommendations for the future", presented the first draft of its findings report on February 28, 2023. The report does not address any of the controversial topics uncovered during the hearings in this commission, justifying, instead, all the abuses and acts of corruption during the pandemic.
MEP Cristian Terheș publicly abolished the report, asking for its modification to reflect reality. Here is the translation of his speech from the COVID Commission:
"Dear colleagues, it is clear that we are witnessing the cover-up of the biggest case of corruption in the history of the European Union.
It is obvious that some political groups in this Parliament want to defend and hide the abuses of the European Commission, but we must not forget that we, as MEPs, answer to the people, not to Ursula von der Leyen.
In fact, she has to give us an account, but this [COVID] Commission and the European Parliament have pulled all the strings so that she does not come to answer here in this Commission.
Regarding this report, it does not cover essential issues presented in this Commission.
First of all, the report does not talk about the fact that the contracts were not fully presented to the members of this Commission. He also doesn't talk about the texting scandal between Ursula von der Leyen and Albert Bourla.
Second, the report talks about these injections as being – so-called – “safe and effective”. The Pfizer representative stated in this Commission, however, that they did not test the injections to see if they stop the transmission of the virus. Who else can make such baseless claims about these injections?
Third, the report says that, and I quote: "nothing was known about SARS-CoV-2 and the disease this new virus causes, including its genetic sequence." This statement is false!
In the documents submitted to the European Medicines Agency by Moderna, for example, to obtain the authorization, it presented studies/tests of the vaccine carried out before 2019. In fact, they presented documents showing that they tested the vaccine as early as 2016.
Also, Pfizer/BioNTech began testing the vaccine three days after the genetic sequence of the virus was published. How is such a thing possible?
The first genetic sequence was made public on January 11, 2020, and they began testing on January 14.
Fourth, the report claims that vaccines have saved 250,000 lives. No scientific methodology was presented to arrive at this number.
At the same time, we now see that the countries with the highest vaccination rates also have the highest mortality rates. The report does not cover this aspect.
Fifth, nothing has been said about the abusive way in which the Digital Green Certificate has been used all over Europe.
Sixth, the report ignores the fundamental right of any person not to be forced to inject themselves with a medical product, such a medical decision should be the result of that patient's free and informed decision, not a political decision by Parliament or some bureaucrats.
In conclusion, this report proves a clear disconnect between the European institutions, including the European Parliament, and the citizens of Europe.
The report must be seriously modified, to provide answers to the questions that really concern the citizens of Europe, not to defend and cover up the biggest corruption scandal in the history of the European Union in which Ursula von der Leyen and the European Commission are involved.
