Join Jude, Alex and Kadish as they gush over this classic 80s high school comedy created by Savage Steve Holland. Where's Vader you might ask...He's off wondering why we haven't reviewed "Porky's" yet.

Better off Dead is a portrayal of high school life in the '80s. John Cusack stars as Lane Meyer, a lovestruck teenager who is crushed when his girlfriend dumps him. To cope with his heartbreak, Lane tries to off himself multiple times, but somehow manages to survive each attempt. As if that's not enough, Lane also finds himself facing off against his ski-racing nemesis in a totally believable and not-at-all-over-the-top competition. Oh, and did we mention there's a wacky French exchange student thrown into the mix? As Lane navigates these completely normal teenage experiences, he learns valuable life lessons and discovers the true meaning of friendship. All in all, Better off Dead is a relatable coming-of-age tale that accurately captures the struggles of being a teen.
