It this lecture, we will review how understanding our assumptions and prejudgments guide our perceptions, interpretations, and recall.

Schemas (a mental structure containing knowledge about a category) are the cognitive building blocks of knowledge. Schemas allow people to make inferences, judgments, and decisions about a given stimulus.
Schemas can be very helpful, but can produce false beliefs and limit a person’s interpretation of reality. Building Blocks include: Sources; Accessibility and Priming; Confirmation Bias; and Metaphor.

I am open to additional lecture title suggestions… so if you have a topic in mind, send me your request.
