Reog Ponorogo Performs in The Hague Netherlands

Awe was evident from every expression on the faces of thousands of Dutch citizens and the Indonesian diaspora in the Netherlands when they saw firsthand the performance of the world's largest mask dance, Reog Ponorogo at the 62nd Tong-Tong Fair on Friday Night (09/09).

This is the first time the Tong-Tong Fair has brought the world's largest mask dance art closer to the Dutch people. Indonesian Ambassador to the Netherlands, H.E. Mayerfas said thousands of visitors were willing to line up to buy tickets to enter the event with the concept of an Indonesian-style night market.

"Because Reog Ponorogo is indeed one of a kind, yes, and many Dutch people used to know Reog, so they came here to witness Reog Ponorogo," explained Ambassador Mayerfas.
