After the COVID pandemic outbreak, the volume of medical waste increased by 40%. While COVID related materials are advised to be burned separately, Bangladesh clinics have no money for it. Sorters and recyclers work barefoot at the major city dumps and risk catching an infection going through mounds of waste. Every day trash collectors risk their lives and unconsciously spread the virus. Is there any way to put a stop to it?
