A Public School Alternative Without Breaking the Bank (feat. Hutz Hertzberg)

Normally, parents and students don’t gravitate toward schools handing out nothing but Cs. In this interview, however, Turning Point USA’s Chief Education Officer Hutz Hertzberg makes the case for a national education movement centered on “5C schools” — Christian, Classical, Conservative, Church-based, and Cost-affordable.

Fed up with the indoctrination of kids being pushed an anti-Christian, anti-American agenda all the way down to elementary school, Turning Point USA’s latest initiative, Turning Point Academy, aims to deliver K-12 (Kindergarten through 12th grade) academic rigor for a fraction of the cost of private schools.

This innovative educational model is centered around 2-3 days in the classroom with a Turning Point curriculum taught in person by accredited teachers — with the remaining 2-3 days designated for the students to be at home working on lessons and presentations to hand in the following week.

The cost? Hertzberg went from spending $18,000 per year sending his daughter to a private Christian day school, to $1,800 — and he is not going back.
