There was an 'overwhelming eagerness' to discredit Trump on origins of COVID

There was an “overwhelming eagerness” to discredit the Wuhan lab leak theory after former US president Donald Trump made the claim, according to Rita Panahi.
New US intelligence suggested an accidental laboratory leak in China was most likely the cause of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Once again, Donald Trump was right,” Ms Panahi said.
She said the Wuhan lab leak theory was always a “plausible explanation”.
“There was just so much there, and yet because Trump said it, there was this overwhelming eagerness to discredit the theory,” Ms Panahi said.
