The Driller Killer" (1979)
directed by Abel Ferrara and released in 1979. The movie centers around an artist named Reno (played by Ferrara himself) who is struggling to make ends meet in New York City. As Reno's financial problems and artistic frustrations intensify, he begins to descend into madness and becomes obsessed with killing people with a power drill. The film is known for its graphic depictions of violence, including several scenes in which the drill is used to murder victims. "The Driller Killer" has been both praised for its gritty realism and criticized for its extreme violence, and it has become a cult classic among horror fans. The film has also been the subject of controversy and censorship, with some countries banning it outright due to its violent content.
