Woodturning - 2 species 1 box

Lockdown woodturning, I decided to make a lidded box with to species of wood. I choose black walnut blank I start to turn in the past and the tenon was broken and some spalted maple blank. I want the lidded box look old and a little bit trashy lol it's for my shop so don't need a perfect finish on it 😉.
So my candy gonna be dustless hahaha
The walnut blank is pretty dry like 6% moistures in perfect for turning and the splatted log was dry as well I love the way it turns the grain of the lid is awesome and the crack makes it trashy just as I want it
