As of 5:38 Tuesday morning, 48,863 DTE customers and 1,847 Consumers Energy customers remain without power. According to DTE, power should be restored to the rest of its customers by the end of the day Tuesday. They're also offering customers an automatic $35 credit to their accounts if they lost power for more than 96 hours. And while a credit is something, many DTE customers say its not enough to cover the cost of lost food and hotel expenses they had to spend because they lost power. "I got more than 35 dollars worth of food I had to throw away so I don't know about 35 dollars," Detroit resident Keith Rucker said.
