Hong Kong lifts mandatory masking from March 1

Hong Kong will drop its COVID-19 mask mandate starting March 1, chief executive John Lee said on Tuesday (February 28, 2023), in a move to lure back visitors and business and restore normal life in the city after it stuck rigidly to the health rules for more than three years.
