Woman dies after Covington shooting

Friends and family are mourning the loss of a 51-year-old grandmother found shot in a home in Covington. According to investigators, Laverne Geneva Wilson was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound Sunday night inside a home in the 1200 block of Wheeler Street. Loved ones knew her as "Bubbles." "Everybody loved her," said her mother, Vanessa Wilson. "She was very lovable. I mean, people were crazy about her." Wilson was transported to UC Medical Center, where she later died.
